Description
Moroccan hashish oil—or hash oil—is a concentrated resinous extract made from cannabis or hashish using solvents like butane or ethanol. It is known for its high potency of cannabinoids (THC and CBD) and is traditionally used for relaxation, therapeutic pain relief, or as a topical hair growth treatment.
There are two primary types of "hashish oil" associated with Morocco:
1. Hair and Scalp Oil (Cosmetic)Most commercially available, legal
"Moroccan hashish oil" found in beauty markets is a natural cosmetic product. It does not typically contain psychoactive THC.Ingredients: Usually formulated with a base of cold-pressed cannabis sativa seed oil, olive oil, and castor oil, rather than extracted THC.Uses: Deeply conditions coarse hair, improves scalp health, and promotes natural hair growth and shine. How to use: Massaged into the scalp and hair, left for 30 minutes to several hours, and washed out.Find it: You can browse cosmetic hair and beard preparations.
2. Concentrated Cannabis Extract (Therapeutic/Recreational)
True hashish oil (cannabis oil) is an oleoresin. It is an extracted concentrate that can contain high levels of THC or CBD, depending on the plant strain and the extraction process.
Properties: A dark, golden, or honey-like resinous extract.Uses: Known for strong analgesic (pain-relieving) and calming effects.Consumption: Often used in vaporizers, or via oral and topical applications.
Regulation: Because cannabis and THC extracts remain strictly controlled in Morocco and many other regions, you can research the regional regulations regarding CBD and cannabis derivatives on the International Narcotics Control Board.
